Hi all. How do I program the 8600 (Rel. 3.7.3) to block traffic to port 445? I know this port can be exploited by hackers. There seems to be a DoS type behaviour occuring on our network where many clients are sending traffic on this port. I'm new to ACL's and I know they can be tricky. Thanks.

Thanks. I'll try that. Is this particular problem common? I've had 2 switches fail for the same reason. The interesting thing is that both were set as the base unit in their respective stacks and both had the 2-port GBIC MDAs. The stacks in question are in separate buildings. Coincidence?
