    Hi Nelviticus ! Thanks for your reply. The file is avi I think i should go to a site that has tutorials on virtual dub. The only thing I am able to do with virtual dub is open file. I think I should open a new file and paste the small version that I want to paste. Thanks again.

    I tried to reduce the original film with virtual dub. The new version is a larger file. The original version was. 17,232 KB The reduced version is. 50,672 KB All I want is to have a small clip of the old film.

    I Tried reducing the film size with flash. I imported the long version into flash library. soresen park asks if you want to edit the film I said yes. I reduced it. Then I eported this short version into another file. But the exported version is as long as the long version
