Which Components Must be Installed to Get osql?

Is it me or is this PC 101?? First off this Why do you feel the need to point out specific members? Don't! it's rude. There are no ties to this site. Denny should not have to see his handle in a thread thus causing an unwanted sense of obligation. You've been around sense '00. You haven't...

    Stock Prices

Dave, based on the version of SQL Server a service based on a simple request to grab the stock data and to insert it into a database would be a good route. There is no magic really to it other than the options you have available on your server OS. If you can upgrade or use an '05 box then...

Weird Execution Plan in SQL 2000

I don't think without having an index with ParentID ASC and SequenceNumber ASC you will get any performance out of it. The fact that SequenceNumber is in there to me says BigTableAI02 - nonclustered - ParentID, Active will kill you and just never get what you could out of an index specifically...

Problem configuring Report Server via Report Services WMI

If I was going to do this I would use SSRS's utilities and batch probably. Between the RSConfig and RSKeyMgmt you should be able to fully configure the instance of RS without a problem after the install. Depending on the installation methods you're using you can directly call the batch or even...

How to check for invalid triggers and procedures?

so you're asking us if your company violated the license agreement with some third party software? only you or the people that put any unauthorized objects on the database will know that. there is no miracle method to finding things that shouldn't be there unless you want to install a fresh DB...
