    Computer Crash

The motherboard hasn't got native graphics so I can't try that. I can't install the graphics drivers in safe mode as it says I need to install .net 2.0 framework and I can't seem to install this in safe mode. I have also disabled automatic restart. This seems to make no difference as the...

    Computer Crash

Yeah I can get into safe mode and that runs completely fine; it never crashes at all. It's just when I boot into windows normally that it crashes.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Pressing F8 while the computer boots up does nothing at all - I get no options so can't try last known config. There is no vista boot disk on the site above. Is there anywhere else I could get one from?

    Computer Died

I have reset the cmos and the psu - still no joy. I have also cleaned the cpu and heatsink and put on new thermal compound. I doubt that it is the bios as the mb has a dual bios and it was powering on for a few seconds previously. Could it be a dead mb battery? - would this cause it not to...

    Computer Died

So if I just had a motherboard and psu connected (no cpu) - the computer should not power on? Is that correct?
