bubbaaa, that is kind of what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure it was the best route.
I have read a lot about extending dmarcs (mostly on here) and was wondering if it would be OK to use 2x2 or 2x3 pair cable for the T1s as long as they are individually shielded.
TouchToneTommy is correct. The 2 T1's go to an IAD (which is owned by us, bought from the Telco), from there we have a T1 cable going to our Norstar system and an ethernet cable going to our data room into our firewall. The internet is used for backup purpose as well hosting a website and FTP...
Hello,
Question for you cable gurus out there. Currently, we have 2 1.5M bonded T1's coming into our CPE, then 1 T1 cable that runs into our phone system. We are going to be moving our phone system out of the water heater room that it is in now, into our data center.
Would I be better off...
Rodney,
We too have three sites in our setup. We have E-6000's at each location. When we first did the setup, I had one 12 port gateway, and an 8 port extender at each branch (using 6 and 6). The main office was connected to the first branch via point to point T1, and the second branch was just...
Unfortunatly, I can't even get the software WITH money changing hands. Does anyone know if it is somehow possible to clone these units or something similar? I have a few of these running on the latest firmware/software.
We have 2 MICS cabinets, each with a PRI card. One is running version 4.1 and the other is version 7.0. Is it possible to swap the software on these cabinets and maintain all of the programming?
Ahh, I wasn't pulling it back far enough. I will check that out. Also, turns out the cable is direct burial cable and the outer shell is mega thick. Can we still use it indoors?
Just recently bought 50 pair CAT3 cable for a telephony project and need to terminate each end. I cut the cable open and I can't tell where the pairs are. Up until now I have only used as high as 25 pair cables. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? I tried Google to no avail.
Thanks!
Not sure if you found an answer yet, but the problem is probably in your configuration.
I assume for your php tags you are just using <? and ?>
In order for that to work you need to turn Short_Open_Tag on in your php.ini
To test if this is the case change your <? to <?php and see if it works
Does anyone have any paging experience with these units? We are trying to tie the paging amplifier at our branch office into the main office phone system. If possible I would like it to have its own zone. Any ideas?
From what I can tell so far the answer to this question would be no. As far as I can tell these units can only pass digital lines. If you try passing an analog line it will not connect.
If anyone else has found otherwise let me know!
Can anyone tell me if these units are capable of tranmitting analog lines, or do they have to be digital, then converted to analog once they get to the branch?
Thanks!
