lol I'm back in. I had to login from the other vlan (the public vlan) and change the no shutdown back to vlan1. It seems level 2 switches, can have only have one vlan administativaly up at a time. Regards, Ison67

I noticed this on another which and went in an changed it for vlan 2. I loss the connection and now I can't ping it. After some research, I learned that the switch is a c2950/level 2 switch and can have only one vlan admin up at a time. How do I get back it in? Regards, ison67

Got it! I was working on stomething else and lost my connection. Logged back in and try again, wr mem. It worked. I tryed the same thing, config t, int F0/14, no shut, with some of the ports that keep going down, but it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong? Does it work on ports? Regards...

cisco 3750's. Yes they have many ports assigned. What does administratively down mean vs just down? It goes up and down. I'll have to reseach the commands to see if it is administratively down, but I don't thank that's the case. I'll let you know once I get a chance to look it up. Regards, ison67
