    Server Edition Patch

They do not have any Avaya maintenance. They recently went from 4 standalone IPOs in SCN to a Server Edition with IP500 gateways.. 9.1.6 was the current release at the time of the upgrade, and we are trying to fix what seems like a bug, which is the reason for the upgrade to SP11. The issue...

    Server Edition Patch

Patching a Server Edition from 9.1.6 to 9.1.11 and after I transfer the ISO and select upgrade, I get the following message. "You are attempting to downgrade the system. Downgrade is not supported and could corrupt the operating system. Do you want to continue?" I'm not local to this system...

Remote phone with multiple call servers

After giving it some more thought. I think the only way to accomplish this is using the VPN with a DNS name for the VPN registration. I found a 3rd party service that will act as a "primary and failover" DNS pointer. Typical DNS services that associate a DNS name to multiple IPs use them in a...

Remote phone with multiple call servers

Client has redundant internet connections at main office. He would like his remote phones to be able to "re-register" to the backup IP address in the event the primary fails. I currently have the phone working as a remote NAT phone to the primary IP Address. I do not know if the the IP Office...

    Calls when in ESS Mode

Okay, so theoretically there should be no difference when in ESS mode. I will need to verify with them that this is actually a problem.

    Calls when in ESS Mode

We have a system on the East Coast as well as in Texas, when the Texas site falls into ESS mode, it's not taking into affect the time difference and they cannot receive calls until 9am, instead of 8 am. The details might be off a little on this as I am getting it second hand, but how would I...

    Trunk group routing

You could always have the IP Office send an extra digit when it calls across Trunk 1, perhaps insert an extra 9555, so when it gets to the CM it dials 9(for ARS), then match 555 in the ARS analysis and route it out Trunk 2. Without trying it, it sounds good in my head.

Night Service via Time & Button

So I've had two recent customers who are used to having the ability to have a night menu(or answering service) come on at certain time, as well as being able to have a button to override this timer and send it to night early. I have accomplished this, but with a caveat. I have their main #...

    G-450 Problem

Sounds like your announcement board might be going bad. If you have multiple G450's, you could put both of their announcement boards into an Audio Group, then go into your announcements and change the location of the announcement from your G450 to g1 which is audio group 1. This will play the...

    Inbound Call to Launch Webpage

Is it just the CTI Link Pro licenses that are needed for this?

    Inbound Call to Launch Webpage

I have a customer who is wanting to launch a specific webpage on the users PC when they get a call in. They said they will take care of the application portion of it, but they want to know how they get that information. I'm guessing it's some sort of TAPI integration. I believe they want to...

    VLAN Tag resetting

Yeah, nothing new there that I haven't checked already. I've configured these switches a dozen times for different customers. This one is just acting funny. Can't pinpoint it yet.

    VLAN Tag resetting

Yeah, 2 VLANs.. 1=Data, 5=Voice. Option 242 in the DHCP Server is correct like you have. I also tried this. I unplugged their data from the Avaya switch, I manually put the IP Phone into VLAN 5 without changing anything else(kept it DHCP), and the same thing happens. So it only happens when...
