Thanks for the input..After everything I've read and from what you guys have told me, I'm contacting vendors. There are just to many things I would have to 'guess' at or have some trial and error, and being for the military, those aren't good options. Thanks again to all of you for the input.
@KCFLHRC..I'm pretty sure they are making them 23 2wy, but I didn't see an option when building a PRI for two way in the M1. I saw Tie,DID....and what not, but nothing for two way. With my lack of knowledge..I was just gathering what I could from reading different things and I"m sure there is...
@Trvlr1..this is a remote site in a different area code. All calls made locally here to there go through my DID's and get routed through my switch via the Tie trunks. The only thing the DID's and COT's are used for down there are local calls to and from that area. Hope that makes sense...
@hawks..will it ask for me for the RLI while I'm building the PRI? The thing I'm concerned with is, half of the T-1 is going to be for the DID's and the other half for the COT's..or do you just build the new PRI as a two-way? Will I have to do any routing for the incoming DIDs. I need to log...
Thank you all for the info. I can't have the Telco move the DID's over to the existing PRI because those two PRI are simply Tie trunks between my CO and that one. The only thing the COT's and DID's are used for are local calls to/from that area. All other calls route through the tie trunks...
The site is about an hour away...so I can't just take a peek to see how everything is wired. I do know that the existing PRI's are plugged into the Dual PRI card via and RJ-11 line cord. I haven't been there in a while..so this is off the top of my head.
Folks,
I'm trying to find out how hard it is to convert 6 analog DID's and 5 analog COT's over to a PRI. I'm not an SL-1 guy so please dumb this down as much as possible. I have a dual PRI card in Core 0 which has our two current PRI T-1's on them now and I have a Dual PRI card in Core 1 that...
Thank you two so very much. You just made my life a whole lot easier. GHTrout...thank you so much for your help. Bhassell..thank you for your response also!!!
Alright...looks like I'm headed in right direction, but I don't know what all the numbers mean. I know the first set is the Route and the Trunk and below that is how many I have, but beyond that...I don't know how to read the other numbers? Help please.
001 TIE
00023 00023
0000004...
Thank you so much for the reply. This is a remote site that is about 2 hours from my location and the only thing hooked up to it currently is a terminal. Can I just go in every hour and read the reports? I have a pc here that I remote in with and I might be able to caputure through it..not...
Folks,
What I'm looking for sounds simple, but after reading manuals and web forums I still can't figure it out. What I want to do is just do a traffic study on my analog COT's and DIDs. I'm an MSL-100 guy and can't figure this CS1000 out, not just familiar enough with the terminology. Any help...
