Thanks mkoker,
Just spoke to our phone person and he is going to give us a quote on "large licensing" price because we do have more than 30 users. He also says that our legacy equipment will work up to R9.0.
I wanted the 3rd party endpoint option, but he says he can't support that because I'm...
@amriddle01
Thanks, I'll check with my vendor/service person. As far as I know, upgrading to 7 requires more licensing. I think that was why they sold us the IP Office with R6. I guess it will come down to cost of R7 (or whatever) vs 3rd party endpoint license and stay at R6.
Thanks for all...
@mkoker
I looked at the Technical Bulletin for R9.1 and support for the B179 has its own chapter!
However, we use lots of the 4412D+ and 6408D phones, but they are no longer supported in R9.1.
Can you verify this information? Looks like we might be stuck at R8.1, or do we have other options...
Great to know. Even my phone service/reseller didn't know to tell me this when I called. I wasted days, thinking it's just bad configuration.
Next step would be whether or not to buy 3rd party license, or upgade to R7. Which one would you recommend? (which might be the cheaper solution?)
Thanks.
Hello All,
Will B179 work or not work with Manager 8.1? I use multiple installation documentations, watched videos, and even talked to my phone distributor. Everything indicates it should work, but it doesn't.
I have IP Office 500 running Manager version 8.1(5), Firmware 6.1(5), and I'm...
I am running 4412D+ and 6408D phones on IPO500v2. Both phones behave the same way. I think this is now the norm for these phones.
I know on software ver 3.2 in IPO406v2, these phones worked perfectly.
I think on software ver 4.x+, "Park Call" is changed to "Call Park" and the feature is...
We don't announce the caller's ID, for privacy issues. Loud paging is company wide, in multiple buildings and most desk phones so everyone hears it. Also, it would not be very professional.
Hi amriddle01,
Here is the call flow steps:
1. Operator group answers a call.
2. A call is parked in a slot and the intended recipient is paged identifying which park it was placed.
3. The recipient goes to an open phone and press the corresponding parked button.
4. The first button press...
If everyone screened the parked call though it would go unanswered"
That's precisely why we want that feature back, for call screening.
I have done lots of searching but still no answer as to why that feature is taken out, nor did I find anyway to program the Park/Ride feature manually to...
Hi,
On the IPO406 3.2, when a user picks up a parked call, the first button press gives the parked call information, then the second button press would pick up the call.
On version 6.1 on IPO500v2, pressing the parked button once picks up the call and I have found no way to duplicate the old...

Call to installer is also placed.
Integra is going to check their settings again.
I wish there would be something I can do in the mean-time. If anyone has any...
The old one had damaged power supply, which let high voltage through (don't ask, it's a maintenance problem).
I have 2 IP406v2 units. I also have a "refurbished" Pri card, and the one from the IP406v1. They both behave the exact same way, when they both were under firmware 3.2. Now, one of...
Hi Ohnoooo,
1. Yes, it has solid green, and when it would work (during few minutes after reboot), the status light blinks during activity.
It's the same cable we used in the broken system, IP406v1.
2. That question did not come up, but I will check with them next. Would I also have to...
Hi,
Sorry for not being an installer, but I still need help. We did not like out installer years ago, who could not figure out how to page to all phones and loud speakers at the same time so I have been doing it since.
Anyway, here's the default log.
The end of the log is where the call fails...
