    I have used VMpro to send a prerecorded message over paging by dialing a short code as well.

    Corruption of data, raises any noise level along with the data. You could probably test it in a lab situation. Obviously not supported.

    Your best bet is to call somebody on site and physically unplug those damaged ports from the analog station. Software changes wont stop damage by arcing and shorting of cut wires.
