Thanks,
We have a VCM32 card, so that should cover that off.
When you say configure the server for IP phones, do you mean setup the HTTP server etc amongst other things?
HI All
We currently have an IPO 500 V2 which uses expansion ports and digital hand sets,
what do we need to do in order to use an avaya VOIP handset (say 9608) with the system? Do we need any additional licences or software configs?
Thanks
Yup appreciTe that
I was trying to do the majority of it on my own and get things working! I'll take it as a learning curve, it's not that easy haha!
Just out of interest, is it tht I'm using the wrong sip provider?
Who do others use?
I had a 7 short code, which sent the calls over sip.
Via 51 ARS.
It definitely worked 100%, outbound. Cli tied in, and sip traces showed okay.
It's just inbound :(
I have now closed the system :)
It's not either of those two companies above...
It may be actually worth me speaking to Jamie looking at who he works for!!
I spoke to my provider and we are goin g to try and work through it,
I was hoping I could do it myself and it would be straight forward...
I can't :( the security password isn't default,
Submitted a ticket to get that done though.
And guesswork indeed, but seems to be the only way I can get calls out working!
I've turned that on - no difference :(
I know... I just want this working now! Spent a few weeks on it and feel as if I've progressed slightly but now stuck!
Any help would be gratefully received! Or if it's the wrong provider I'm using or similar?
Thanks folks
Thanks guys
I've sent the requests off for the firewall to be locked down again.
Was only as it is now for testing purposes.
Gradwell won't help with PBx config :(
I've set it up as 2 trunks as they say calls must be routed via their sbc severs
However outbound works ok without it and I can...
It sees the @86.54.45.xx, but doesn't respond as it has no idea what that address is. Set your sip line to use lan2 for it's network topology; just a guess.
- Does that not mean i have to use a STUN server though? Im under the impression i dont need one?
Hmm.. sorry for all the posts...
those logs above show ipaddr=192.168.42.1 apps=0 repeatedly....
Thats the IP of my IPO500's WAN1 address, on which there is no internet access... is that why?
Okay - So
I just made a change, and i now get something in the trace that you asked for, theres quite a bit.,
The phone also rings now - well my onex portal does for testing purposes!
However, when i answer there is no audio, the mobile isnt aware that ive answered, and the PBX isnt aware if...
i know nothing about SIP really, but the fact that i keep getting INVITE over and over again and the phone system isnt responding to it, does that mean that its not even getting past the SIP stage?
