That worked! The new version of communicator went right on and now the customer is happy. Also when doing remote desktop share, avoid using join.me. I was using it yesterday when all the failures were happening. Today I used Teamviewer and it went off without a hitch.

So we actually discovered that the customer had meant to say that the "message button" isn't lighting up. The MWI on the top right of the phone was fine. Do the message buttons light up on the 1400 series? I didn't think that they did...

It's embedded voice mail, yes. No duplicate user and I did try to rename the extension. All it did was want the user to record the "recorded name" to set up the VMbox every time they logged and and STILL no MWI.

I was trying to upgrade an IP Office 500v2 from 9.1.1 to 9.1.3 and only some of the files upgraded. It's the oddest thing. Hopefully somebody can shed light on it. Details are in the attached picture. I normally see this when a bad password is entered upon upgrading but if that were the case...
