Is it safe to assume that when looking at announcements from VAM or ASA 6.0, that if the announcement does not have an extension it is not currently in use by the system?
I want my CS manager to clean up some announcements and I want to be sure that if they identify announcements as no longer...
I have a WLC that currently authenticates employees against an ACS via 802.1x/AD.
I've added a second WLAN for guest access and have setup the WLC web authentication to pass credentials to the ACS. I've created a local identity store on the ACS for guests.
The problem I am having is the local...
I am having an issue where our 9620 phones are not logging missed external calls. They will log missed internal, but not external. Avaya (I believe as a last straw since it has been 5 weeks and they do not have a solution) is recommending upgrading the firmware. I want to do this on a single...
S8500 running v13.
I have a TEG with 4 stations. This covers to a CAG of 8 stations. The stations are rotated quarterly so users take turns being in the TEG and taking the first line of calls. I have had this in place for a couple of years.
I now have a user saying that when they are in the...
I have a Tn763B in a G3 v10 that has a port configured. How do I determine where this is in the software. I have checked "disp sys fea" and it is not the music on hold field.
I am looking to remove it. I see it physically goes nowhere.
Update:
If I try this the reverse way it works as I want.
If I setup station 543 at Site B with Cover 6 where
Cover 6 has point 1 = r3, point 2 = h1
r3 = 345 (station at Site A)
It works. Calls to 543 roll to 345. If 345 is not answered it rolls to point 2 of 543's cover path.
Is there...
I stated at the end of my post that I was using a cover remote point. It is the cheapest way because this is over a private line. Maybe I need to clarify...
Station 345 at Site A has cover path 3.
Cover path 3 has point 1 = r1, point 2 = h1
r1 = 543 (the station at Site B)
h1 = Site A's...
Trying to have a station at site A cover to a station at site B, then back to the voicemail of the original station (at site A). These are 5 digit dial sites connected via a DCS trunk.
Tracing the call, it roles to site B, but terminates there (rings indefinetly with no local CP, or follows the...
@1a22ip:
How would you set it to go to VM auto-attd? When I try to change the value it wants a valid announcement ext or 'attd'?
I have a VAL that only has an intercept announcement. I would like to remove it and use it at another site. Sending the intercept to auto-attd would be perfect (we...
Thanks. I thought so, but I am new to the phone world, so I don't want to make the system less secure in my attempt to make it more concise. So...
What is the purpose of the x in the ARS? I mean, I know it is a wild card and I see the purpose when you have an entry like 1xxx976, but what would...
I have the following routes in my ARS:
dialed location min max route type
00 all 3 23 deny op
000 all 3 23 deny intl
00700 all 12 12 deny op
Couldn't I remove the second two? It seems to me the first entry would cover the conditions of the...
I am doing some ARS cleanup as I change routes to use a new trunk. Ten years ago the area code for this switch was 601. The previous admin never changed any of the settings when the area code changed to 662 (i.e. the trunks still had NPA = 601, and "change locations" still had 601).
The new...
@ jimbo:
Good points. Question for you:
If I have an ARS entry that states:
18 11 11 p9 fnpa
and another that states
1809 11 11 deny fnpa
Would the call to 1809 be blocked? I am assuming it looks for the most specific route, even when restricting.
