I failed, but not by too much. Granted, I did absolutely no studying for it at all. The only reason I took it because it was a free beta exam and it got me out of the office for aboutn an hour. I "think" I got a 630 and you needed a 680 to pass.

Well, just know that you're not the only one that hasn't done too good on the first go of the test. The CCNA test is a very tough one to pass. Now that you've taken it, you know what to expect the next time. Study up a little more and you'll knock it out of the park next time.
Good luck!!

guidomyte,
I see you have a ? next to the 640-801 test. Take a stab at it and then compare it to your MCSA tests. You'll see what I am talking about. Go on the Cisco message boards and see how many posts there are about FAILING the CCNA test on more than one occasion. Do people fail the MS...
I didn't say they were "easy". What I said was Microsoft tests, and if you want to get into specifics the MCSA tests, are WAAAY easier compared to the Cisco tests. I'm sure there are people who think the opposite, but it's probably a safe assumption that the majority of people here who have...
Microsoft tests are WAAAAAY easier than they Microsoft tests. Pass any MS test to become an MCP. Here's the info on the MCSA for 2003.

Your A+ and Net + combined will count towards your elective. So, all you really need to do...
I did have a copy of the old transcender questions here somewhere, but that doesn't help you. Just google it, you'll probably find a ton of stuff. The Sybex books also include practice tests if you go that route.

Good job!!! Net + should be fairly simple. The CCNA however, you'll definately loose a few hair studying for that one.
Congrats!!

Definately on the MCSA 2003 track, not really sure I am going to pursue the MCSE. It's not really necessary for my job. But who knows, it can't be a bad thing to have right?
Thanks everyone!!!
A+, Net +, Security +, MCP, on my way to being an MCSA
Well, it's offical. I'm now an MCP. Passed the 70-270 with an 889. Used the MS Press books with Measure up practice tests. Test wasn't that hard at all.
Now onto 70-290.
A+, Net +, Security +, onto the CCNA
I would say either Transcender or Measureup. Both are pretty good at reviewing the material and offer great explainations to all of the questions.
I would stay away from the TestKing. It's a braindump. Yes, you'll probably pass the test, but you won't "know" the material.
A+, Net +, Security...
Well, I have never taken the Server + exam, but the Security + exam can be tricky. Took me 3 times to pass it, but I eventually did. Can't speak to the other tests since I have not taken them (I'm working on the MCSA 2003 track right now).
Wish I could be of more help.
A+, Net +, Security +...
Oops, you're right. I was thinking MCSA for 2003. For 2000, you can take Security + OR A+ and Server + to fulfill the elective part.
Security + isn't too bad. Never took Server +, but I can't imagine it's terribly difficult.
