NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

The 2400 has an existing PRI so I assume we are licensed. Unless there's only a license for one. Is that possible and how would I check? The card I am using matches the one currently happily in use. When I put the card in loop back, I get DOPE light but no others. I did have a tech tell me I...

NEC SV9500 PCPro - Listing of DID numbers

What system have you got? Try LCDD it will tell you the last digits of the DIDs and what extension they go to. If you know your DID range(s) you can work it out from there.

NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

I only got framing errors when I flipped the receive and transmit cables. Otherwise not getting errors on the PRI card, just no layer light. Both ends are set B8ZS ESF. No kidding the 2400 IPX is old. That's why we have the 9500 we are upgrading to. On the other hand in another area I still...

Incoming Call Blocking on a SV 8300

I ran into this recently and blocked them at carrier level. My incoming line is on a AT&T IP Flex circuit and I was able to get access to the circuit from AT&T via a web portal and worked out how to block specific numbers there. I don't know who your carrier is or if this helps. I do not know...

NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

Good point. On wiring I know I have receive and transmit correct. When I swap them I get all kinds of frame alignment errors. I try swapping the individual cables within receive and transmit and doesn't seem to make any difference. I don't know if it is important ... no errors but also...

NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

Thanks. Good to know. I redid a number of tests including deleting ACIC1, ACSC, ADPC, ATRK on the D Channels and then reprogramming them and then redoing AMGIL settings. Still have the same problem--no layer light showing up on the T1 card, no D light flashing on the T1 connection in the...

NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

Hi Racefan, Thank you for answering. Yes I was not in front of my PBX when I posted so I typoed the commands I was using. It is ADPC, ACSC, ACIC1 and AMGIL. If CMRT is set to 1, would it be thrown off by programming in ADPC, ACSC and ACIC1? As a test I set this to 0 on all routes but didn't...

NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

I am having a lot of difficulties with a specific connection I am trying to establish between two NEC systems and I know you are hugely familiar with this type of connection. I have a new NEC SV9500SE replacing out an NEC 2400IPX and I am trying to set them up to be able to call between...

Dead attendant console on old IMS system

Additional data on the original post from phadobas: The console card is a CS07-B. Have tried three cards -- the original one, a spare and also found one with a vendor. Each card does the same thing--even with no console connected. Within one minute it gives a C level Infinite Loop error...

NEC 2400 IPX Music on hold quality over PRI line.

I have an NEC 2400 IPX with a PRI provided by an AT&T IP Flex connection. Voice quality over the PRI is great, but when we put any calls on the PRI on hold, the music on hold quality is terrible full of static and drop outs. This is incoming or outgoing calls. The music on hold quality is...

Thanks vm. You are right this does still exist. Unfortunately for me if the damage was caused by a power outage you are not eligible :(

    Replacement/Repair HP 2900 Series Switches

HP used to have a lifetime warranty on their switches. Does anyone know if this is still true and if so how to activate it? I have searched the web and HP.com but cannot find any directions. I specifically have an HP 2900-24G J9049A that took a dump in a power outage. While I replaced it...

    Padding (volume) adjustment on PA-8CFTD

Thanks very much Belevedere this handled exactly what I was trying to fix

    Padding (volume) adjustment on PA-8CFTD

PA-8COTF-C. Looks like there's 7 or 8 of them in the system, although none are on the same shelf as the PA-8CFTD. There's three of them on the shelf right above it.

    Padding (volume) adjustment on PA-8CFTD

I have an NEC NEAX 2400 IMS. Trying to lower volume on the three-way conference calls. This is handled by the PA-8CFTD card. There doesn't seem to be any dip switches on the card and I cannot find any commands in the Command Manual that would seem to do this.
