I have a derived field that results in a summed numeric amount. I type in a column heading on the report. When I save as a CSV the first row of the output in the file does not contain the Column Heading for the derived field as it does for all other fields on the report. There is another derived field on the report that produces either a date or a null and that column heading DOES appear in the csv output first line. Is there a way to force this to appear?

Using Reportsmith 3.10 and Oracle.

Thanks

I am trying to visualize this, which I admit I am not the best at doing, however, if I am picturing this right it is similar to what happened to me recently. The problem was that I needed I switched the report over to field editing mode and moved the information and it worked and then appeared on the report. I hope this helps. If not, sorry.

I talked to another ReportSmith programmer and he had me delete the column and add it back. Along the way it became obvious what the problem was. The column label had been added independently of the derived field and was therefore not really associated with it. When I added the derived field back and then overtyped the label with the desired value everything was fine.

Thanks for the reply
