Im having a simular problem. I dont know how, if I have data that was already on a document beofre it was converted to a PDF, how one goes about covering this data up. Example: I have a PDF that somebody created off a word document. The word document has somebodys name STAMPED with an ink pad on it. It was then converted to a PDF.
How can you remove this? Is there no tool in Acrobat to paint over this or erase it?
I have been creating fields wiht white backgrounds, but this is not the best way it seems. How can I scrub or paint this off the pdf doc?
Ive also tried to import it to Photoshop, but after you do that, you loose the vector capabilities when its converted to a bitmap. The document gets all fuzzy then too.
PLEASE HELP
Thank you kindly,
Corbin

You should be able to remove graphic elements by using the TouchUp Object tool - simply right click on the offending object and select delete.

No, these graphics are not graphics that had been added after the fact in Acrobat, they existed on the hard copy, when they were converted to Acrobat format. The graphic was stamped onto a piece of paper, then that piece of paper had text added to it in Word. Then from word, it was converted to Acrobat.

Is there any paint brush type tool that can cover a graphic thats not removable witht he graphics select tool.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ok, let's try again:
If it is in the Acrobat document, it is an object.
If this was a scanned document, then it is an image.
Since the doc was created from Word, then the image is probably only the extend of the stamp. (not the entire page as if the whole page had been scanned in)

So: the "stamp" is an object, and can probably be selected and deleted by the object touchup tool.
Trying to cover it up is a very poor solution, as the information will be still there.
We know how well coverups work at times- can you say "Watergate"?
cheers

Was the pdf created from Word or was it scanned from hard copy directly into pdf format?
