I see some very much needed options on the user setup window, but when logged in as 'sa' and any other user, the options are greyed out. How do we enable:

Change password next login
Enforce password policy
Enforce password expiration

If these are not going to be used until a later version, why would they put this in here to get our hopes up?

According to the version 8 enhancements, it says that we can assign a user as a Great Plains Administrator, who can then do 'sa' tasks such as creating users etc. However, I can't find any information on where and how to do this.

I did it through SQl Security Login. I changed my user permissions through SQL. I changed my access rights to DB owner and it worked perfect.

The three options you mentioned will be supported by v8.0 when SQL Server 2005 (aka Yukon) is released.

There is a third party addon that provides Password Policy and Expiration for Great Plains v6.0, 7.0, 7.5 and 8.0 right now and does not required SQL 2005.

Dave - klewis said he did it through SQL Security Login, is that going to work?

In V8, the dependance on the 'sa' user has been reduced. If a user has the correct permissions at the SQL server, set via Enterprise Manager, they will be allowed to perform other tasks.... such as adding users.
