We have over 50 users of ReportSmith where I work and we recently received new computers. We went from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Professional.

Here's the strange part - for some users (not for all)when you double-click on a report that has already been created, ReportSmith opens but no report is launched. You then have to navigate to File|Open and then look for your report which is time consuming and frustrating.

On our other machines this is not a problem - you are able to double-click on your report and it opens fine. I've looked at Tools|Options and compared one that worked and one that didn't, but both are set up the same.

Anyone know of any solutions? Could this be a .ini problem?

What version and database are you using?
Do you use the catalog?
Have you checked with SRS to see if there are any know issues with XP?

I would take a hard look at the .ini file for starters.
