does anyone know how to configure outgoing calls to b]go thru POTS lines for local calls and thru the T1 for Long distance calls using same access code to get the outside line?

Bcpaul, NYC,

you have to build a dialing plan and configure the Routing

Example:

Route#001:

Dialout: 91 use Pool A ( T1 line group)

Destination code: 91

Route: 001

Absorb all digit.

Route#002:

Dialout: 96 use Pool B ( POTS line group)

Destination code: 96

Route: 002

Absorb all digit.

When your user will dial 91xxx then system will take group A trunk and dial the number...

When your user will dial 96xxx then system will take group B trunk and dial the number...

Good luck!!!

Rapetau is on the right track, but I think that Des Code 91 should be absorb 1 (the 9) and the second DES Code should be 9A absorb 1.

Yes Jimhusted,

It was only an example, with routing you don't have to dial an # for the trunk group, the routing make the job for you so in this example we can forget the first digit (9) and the user will not have to know if he make an external or internal call the routing will detect for him...

Thank you guys,
Will check this out.
