I created a macro using the instructions for exporting a comma delimited file. I removed the commas, but now the quotes are still there at the beginning and end of each line. Also, I created a derived field and used the RPad function to pad with spaces, but the spaces don't show up on the exported file. Please help!

1. What version are you using?
2. Are you using ReportSmith as a standalone or as part of ADP?
3. One way to do this is to create a derived field the total length of you record. Then concatenate and pad your individual fields in this derived field as necessary. Then save as a txt file.

We are on 4.2 as part of ADP so somethings could be different. Corportate ADP ReportSmith Support has some canned macros that also handle a fixed length file.
