How do I stop sending the ext # on my caller ID? 3

I have a G3r V11. Ever since I we purchased this switch the caller ID sends the caller ext number along with the name. How do we disable sending the caller ext number? This is for internal calls.

For internal calls?

How did you block it before? I don't know of a way to block the # for internal calls, maybe some of the more experience definity gurus know..

No, I've never had it blocked. I would like to now.

Have you checked in the ISDN Public-Unknown-Numbering.
I know that you can add your extension to the ISDN Pub list for outbound calls to see your extension.
 
That is only for out-boud. I need to change the internal calls.

Just curious - why is this needed?

You could have the individuals use ACD login ID's and then internal calls will show the ACD ID and not the station number. You could also give bridged appearances out for the individuals to make "secret" calls from.

We have alot of big wigs that don't want some people calling them back directly or want to keep thier ext. private.

To quote Winnie the Pooh: "Oh, bother".

Well, you could go with the bridged appearence route so the calls are "not" coming from the bigwig's station(s). Or you can give the bigwigs a unique COR so that only certain individuals could call them directly, and everyone else gets a wave-off. Their extension would still show up, but it wouldn't be available to be used by the masses.

We block the ext # with COS of 14 Client Room.
Yours may be set exactly the same but it can be
done.

From the administrator manual:

Client Room
....You can administer class of service for Client Room only when you have Hospitality Services and a Property Management System interface. See DEFINITY ECS Hospitality Operations for more information.

On the COS form our COS 14 has Data Privacy
and Client Room set to y.It is the only one
with Client Room set to y.Maybe setting yours
to y will do the trick.

Snapper,

Masking the station number on internal calls can be controlled by CLASS OF SERVICE. Establish a new COS to turn on CLIENT ROOM and change the SYSTEM PARAMETERS-HOSPITALITY and set DISPLAY ROOM INFORMATION IN CALL DISPLAY to YES. When the new COS is assigned the calling party station number that usually appears in the bottom of the display is replaced by the station room information. The station "SITE DATA: Room" field should be cleared, as needed.

NOTE: If the station NAME field is blank outbound calls will replace the blank with the station number. Insert something, usually a period, to keep this from happening.

WARNING: This could impact call coverage to voice mail depending on how you have it arranged.
