Hello, all,

I have managed to make part of my AI image transparent in Photo Editor (it's all I have!). When I try to cut/paste from Photo Editor, or place the file back into AI, it doesn't show up as transparent. When I try to save it as a jpeg, it says transparency isn't supported, so I tried to save it as a TIFF. Any ideas? I'm perplexed.

Can you try saving as a PNG. or creating a clipping path?

I am not sure if this will help or is the sam issue, your issue isn't completely clear to me. But I read it in the Adobe forum and was wondering if it somehow applied.??

Well, I can't seem to make a clipping path, and I am unsure what a png is. But the only save option it gave me was jpeg, tiff or targa (?) I am so frustrated that I have decided to leave it for a few days, come back to it, and hope that it has decided to mind.

You realize your rastorizing you art and that the vectors will be gone when you paste back into ai? Try reading up on transparency masks available in AI. Just hit F1 to bring up the help browser.
