Its currently over a gig. We run several databases on this server but all are on the D: drive as well as the related trans logs.

So, what is in this file, and can I move it? It is always marked with a current timestamp and appears to just get larger.

I have mtce plans on all databases that clear the trans logs during the day.

Or is it simply a function of where the tmp/temp is set up for?

You may have ODBC tracing turned on. Go to the Control Panel, open Data Sorces (or ODBC Data Sources), click on the Tracing tab. If the button says Stop... trace is running. Click the button to stop tracing. If you want to get the best answer for your question read faq183-874 and thread183-468158.
