We are converting our office over from Windows and Office NT to Windows XP and Office XP....I know that the NT stations with Access are going to have "Table in Wrong Format"....or something like that....Can anyone help me with the how to make this conversion??? royhouser

If you think it's impossible...somebody else will set out to prove you wrong.

Office NT? When did that come out? Do you mean Office 97 or 2000? If it's 2000, you shouldn't have to worry about the Access tables. But to convert a 97 database, when you open it, it should ask you if you want to convert it. If you pick no, you can go to tools, database utilities, convert database. I would recommend using Access 2000 file format because that is what Access XP defaults to, instead of 2002 format.

I meant Office 2000....but the problem seems to be in the NT OS that we're running....If you try to run a table from the NT station (even tho it's A2000) on a 2000 station (also running A2000) it say Table not in expected format....or something like that.....Any ideas? royhouser

Just one Table....I'm not sure why it stands out but the rest of the tables in the database are fine???? royhouser

I haven't heard of that. Have you tried opening the database exclusively? If you can get it open that way, you could try making a new table, and copying all the records over.

If that doesn't work, you could try connecting to it with VB or C++ or even Java and making a new table with a SELECT INTO statement.

It's odd that's for sure....b/c the table works fine on a NT 4.0 Station running A2K but not on my Win 2K Server system running the EXACT same Access....I'll keep checking for updates royhouser
