Definity R8.2 The Sales dept would like to block the name
portion of the caller-id when making cold calls. I have
tried the the cnp-blk, this only removes the # not the name.
Also, I do not want to change the trunk settings for only
the sales dept, 10 people in this hunt group. Is there a setting anywhere else that I could set to block out the
names for selected users/groups ?

Thanks
jjm

Have you gotten any responses/answers to your quetion? I am also interested in blocking name/number at the station level.

Hi Nick,

You are the only one so far.
Figures this is my first posting

Thanks

Are you referring to your company name showing up on caller ID, or the agent name? Your company name is matched to your ani by the local LEC. If you are using ISDN trunks, you could change the number outpulsed to the LEC for the individual extensions in the Sales group but the LEC will match the company name on their own. Try "change ISDN-PUB". You could attempt to outpulse 000-000-0000? -CL

Hi lopes 1211

Thanks for your response.

What I am trying to do is block the agents name and
did phone extension from traveling outside the building.
The requestor who works in the sales hunt group does not
like making cold calls with her name visiable. Is it possible to
block individual phone or group caller id ?
The company name does not travel. What i don't want to do
is nuke the caller id for the entire trunk.

Thanks

Did you also take a look at the station form page 2?

The per station CPN field together with the change ISDN public must give you some options.

John:

You are on the right track! If you want to "block" the complete name and number delivery on specific sets go to page 2 of the station form and set the Per Station CPN - Send Calling Number? field to r. When this is set to "r" it means that all Outgoing non-DCS network calls from the station will deliver the Calling Party Number information as “Presentation Restricted.” You would then change your system-parameters feature option dealing with ISDN Parameters (Page 6 on most switches). You could either fill in a CPN Replacement for Restricted Calls number or name here or leave it blank. This may only work if the trunk group you are using for your outbound calls is provisioned as an ISDN-PRI Trunk.

I hope this helps!

Bobby
