McAfee Quick Clean

I have just purchased and installed McAfee Quick Clean, Version 2.0. The installation (with Win 98) went without a hitch but I can not run the program.
All the folders are there and contain all the icons described in the manual, but double clicking the "Quick Clean" icon does nothing, same with "start."
I've checked all the McAfee on line help and there is no mention of this glitch. I emailed the ‘support' people but have no response to date.
I figured that somebody on Tek-Tips has probably had the same problem and will respond before the McAfee support.

It might be just a bad instalation...try uninstalling it fully (including deleting the 'McAffee' folder from the Programs in C:) and re-installing it...
Sometimes when u're installing something, it just doesn't go right... I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

I neglected to say in my thread that I have done several uninstall/installs, none have changed anything. I would expect, that if the installation was not working correctly, I would get a error message, but all I get is "installation successful", or words to that effect.
I purchased the program to remove a lot of garbage I know I have on my HD, now I suspect I've got more!
