Does any know where to get known working fans for a great price from electronic stores and not online telecom vendors?

EFB0412VHD 12v 0.23a seems to be the standard.
Problem is, the part# is shared with many other versions.

I found an old email from 6 years ago where someone had successfully replaced the BCM 50 fans.
The part that refers to the fans is listed below. I;m sure it was for a BCM 50 system.

2 Fans (6CFM each, Cooltek Silent Fan 12dB, 4000rpm, 40x10mm) replacing one
loud fan (Delta Electronics 10CFM, 40dB, 8000rpm) succesfully.

Thanks

I found this...

------------

The NOISY Fans are marked like this:
JMC (Large Letters)
8920 (Stamped in middle)
4010-12 HBHA DC12V~0.15A
P/N:402711-4
800-580-6688 (Vendor's Phone)
Made in China
Now we know who manufactured these nasty little Devils.

And now for the QUIETER fan:
DELTA
G8118R
DC BRUSHLESS
Model EFB0412VHA
DC12V~0.23A -P57J
MADE IN THAILAND
---------

to add...
So the noisy ones (JMC) are found in the expansion cabinets and are ball bearing.
The Delta ones found in the main cabinet and are brushless.

This one is probably the second most found behind Delta:
AVC
DA04010B12H
12v .11a
Ball Bearing

Probably the best option that we know is good however I am finding others makes that might do.

Evercool
EC4010M12CA
3 Pin Fan
Fan 40x40x10mm
RPM 5000 RPM
Airflow 6.24 CFM
Noise Level 21 dB

I cannot find amp details

I forgot covid was kind of over...
In 2021 I was looking for
DELTA
G8118R
DC BRUSHLESS
Model EFB0412VHA

They were very scarce, over priced and/or many weeks delay.
In looking just now Digikey has stock now (at great pricing), the only difference seems to be they are now 0.6a instead of 0.23a
Specs from Delta site

As far as I know, for BCM50 you need the size 40 x 40 x 10 mm (not 40x40x20) from the Delta link above.
Just wondering - what is an acceptable price for you?
If you want to get a good quality fan that should work in BCM50, the SUNON FN-HA40101V4-0000-C99 could be a good choice. I could get one from a local electronics store for roughly US$4.50 - considering you need just one per BCM50, that might not be a big issue.

Correct on the 10mm
It appears I didn't notice the 20mm at the tail end listed here under EFB series.
It seems Delta dropped the 10mm size and has the same part # on the 20mm.

As for pricing example, Refurb Supplies is asking $62.00 USD, shocking prices from them, they are usually pretty good with pricing.
I see a lot from $30.00 and up but since I repair these I was looking for something a little cheaper, $14.00 is more like it when buying bulk.
I wanted to get some part numbers on the thread for those also searching too but also cautious with the amps.

Thanks for SUNON one!!

Hello Team
I remember that i have replaced the original BCM50 fan with a big 140 x 140 x 25mm fan that i mounted on the plastic cover on BCM50. The fan has long cable to allow the slide in and slide out of the cover.
This fan has 3 PINS so it gets the control for speed it is super silent and pushes a lot of air volume on the system so it keeps it always cool.
That was a requirement for a small office that BCM50 is installed under a desk that acts as the "computer room".
i recall that when we installed BCM50 there were a lot of complains for the noise that was generated so we found a quick solution using the computer 140 x 140 x 25mm fan.

The system is still in service around 10 years now with the same fan.

regards

Nikos
