Downgrade IPO from 11.1 SP2 to R11.1 SP1 or even 11.0 SP5 1

Hi all,

I've tried a lot of google research on this however there doesn't appear to be any examples online after R9 on how to go backwards.

I know how to upgrade and rebuild SD Cards, etc...however is the process similar to 'Downgrade' back to 11.0 If I have an issue?

Unfortunately I discovered the tickbox wasn't selected in Manager to capture .bak files when sending the configuration over. I now have that ticked but this obviously will only create .bak files for R11.1 configs moving forward.

Any suggestions how I would achieve this?

There is an 'allowdownload' option in CLI once you've logged in as Administrator, but I have tried to downgrade 11.1 FP1 to SP2 and it refuses. Not sure if it's even supported. Our advice from Avaya was to make backups and redeploy a new IPO OVA so I imagine it's well-nigh impossible.

One of you it talking about an IP500 V2, the other is talking about Linux- based system features!

For an IP500 V2 downgrade is easy. Backup you config. Deinstall your existing admin suite and install the one for the release you want the system to be on. Use that to recreate the existing SD card.

But why? I understand the issues some people have had between 11.1 and 11.1 FP1, but not between 11.1 SP1 and SP2.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
