Hi All,
Quick question regarding duplicated systems. We recently aquired an R6i with high reliability. The system was booted with SPE-A hard selected. Lucent was called to reset the passwords, and we've discovered that when the system is hard selected SPE-B or when the system is booted on AUTO the reset logins do not work. Although I have discovered that if you switch the memory cards from A to B I can boot on SPE-B and all is good. What I need to know is if I were to boot on SPE-A save the translations on both memory cards (thus saving the passwords) replace both cards and boot on AUTO would this solve my problem?

On a standard duplicated system are the memory cards excatly identical?

Thanks for any help.

On r7 with out duplicated system all you hav to do was save trans using dsa and it would save on both. hope this helps. José

Please let me know if this was helpful

You're right boot on the flashcard with the right translations, then when your system is up and running put in the second flashcard.
If you do a List Config Soft Long you'll see the translations saved on both card probarbly hav differend date and file stamps.

Now give the command SAVE TRANSLATIONS with the option BOTH, the system will save to both flashcards.

Wait for the system to report succesful for both SPE's.

Afterwords you can do List Config Soft Long again just to check.
