Anybody get sip trunks working between a UCx and an IP Office?

If so, what are the outbound and inbound settings in the trunk setup. Can it be set up as a peer-to-peer connection or does it require registration?

From the UCx programming, the SIP Trunk can be peer with no registration. I have a SIP Trunk peer-to-peer with a BCM 50 Rls. 6.0 with no issues. I can't speak for the IP Office.

The UCx would look similar to this:
host=192.168.1.2 <IP Address of your BCM or IP Office>
type=peer
trunk=yes
qualify=yes
insecure=port,invite
deny=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
permit=192.168.1.2/255.255.255.255

I hope this helps and have a blessed day!

Anyone use Comcast for SIP trunks? How well do they work? UCx50 4.5

Thanks, but I need info on the IP Office, not the BCM.

Comcast SIP Trunks have not been fully tested and currently are not on the supported list of SIP Trunk Providers. I think E-Metrotel may looking into testing but haven't heard of anything yet.

I don't know the settings for the IP Office since I don't work on those, however, the UCx will do peer-to-peer with or without registration. If the IP Office requires registration, then the UCx can accommodate that as well. It will all come down to making sure both ends are communicating to each other in the same protocol. I know that isn't what you were asking for, but maybe check with an IP Office person to see how that switch is set up for SIP Trunking.

Hey Telcodog, are you still trying to figure out how to do make SIP trunks work between the IP Office and UCx? I have it completed and it works quite well. I can try and post my settings here later on.

Yessir!!! If you have it working please post the config details for both systems. My customer is going to replace the IP Office with a UCx but not for about 3 months while his other BCMs are converted but in the meantime, he would like to call between sites over his mpls network.

Thanks for getting it working.

Ok, First on your IP Office, log in the Avaya IP Of
