After updating an IP 500 V2 to 8.1.43 the 54xx phones time is acting strange. It is correct at 10, 11, 12 o'clock, but when it rolls to 1, 2, 3, etc, the first 1 stays. So at 1pm it reads 11:00, and 4pm it reads 14:00. If you pick up the handset and put it back down, the screen refreshes and the 1 goes again, then time is correctly displayed. It isn't military time, just that the 1 doesn't disappear when it rolls to the single digit hours. Anyone seen this? Any ideas?

Have you tried another handset in the port?
Also have you pointed the TFTP IP Address on the Manager to the system IP Adress to upgrade the phone from the IP Office V2?

Has been mentioned before, looks to be a bug but as the Caveats site is utterly useless now (much like GRIP requests) it's hard to say for sure :)

It's all the phones on the system (about 90), not any specific port. The time is correct on the phones and system status.

It is a bug.
When the time changes from lets say 12:59 to 1:00 then the 1 stays.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Well I have this exact same issue, same release, same phones, and for the love of god, YES! the phones are upgraded. I can't find anything useful on the caveats site.

<Rant>Anyone get paid to do traces and submit flippin TIME bugs to Avaya? So what stupid bug is next?!?!? -You pick up the handset and don't get dialtone? I mean this stuff is so basic, to not have the time on the phones work correctly makes Avaya look like an amateur. I don't get paid to jump through several troubleshooting hoops, their internal QA needs to beef it up, quality of the software has gone straight downhill nearly every release, with more noticeable stupid bugs that break things from a working previous release.</EndofRant>

Yeah... needed to vent that. :)

Nice to know as I have a customer with 54XX phones and a pending upgrade from 4.2 to 8.1.

This is just one more thing to look forward to, that and the 5410 phones that can't be upgraded without turning them into bricks.

There are trials going on for the next 8.1 release and this is a known bug for them so it will be fixed in a next release :)

I upgraded my customers IP 500 from 5.0 to 8.1 (52), I now have the bug.
