thread798-1558723

There is a thread for this issue, but it was closed.
We just upgraded the firmware to 97.072 and are getting these errors and experiencing freezes where the only way is to remove the battery off the phone.
Sometimes we get
ASSERT : Memory C ln 1068 error

whether we get the error or not, it freezes the phone and we have to take the battery out
Started happening after the 2245 server firmware update

Does not happen on the 6140, only on the 2210 and 2211 phones

Appreciate any input.

If the set is showing an assert it has hit an unrecoverable software error in the set firmware. That is the way Spectralink does their error handling. They throw an assert and hang.

Download the crash dump off a set and open up a ticket with them.

Are you using WPA2 authentication to the Network? I have heard if you are using WPA2 for network authentication and 97.072 firmware, assert C errors are common with 2200 series phones. You can down grade to 97.071 and they will go away. I have also heard of a desinger patch that solves that issue but never found were to get it since phones are Manufacture discontinued.
