I'm looking for a cheap (preferably free) XML editor. I don't need a lot of features (don't even need validation, etc.), but there are a couple things I'm looking for to accelerate putting data in the XML file by hand.

So far, I've been using XML Marker and XML Notepad.

The thing I like about XML Marker is that it automatically sees recurring parallel subtags or attributes, and presents a table view where I can directly edit the values of attributes ( The thing I don't like about it is that the only way to edit or add elements is by manually editing the code in the code view.

The thing I like about XML Notepad is that I can select elements in the tree view, and add child elements or attributes via a right-click menu or keyboard shortcuts. The thing I don't like about XML Notepad is that it has no table view.

Can someone recommend a free or cheap editor that has a table view, and that lets you add and edit elements directly in the tree view and/or table view? I've been doing a lot of googling, and coming up with enormous (mostly outdated) lists of editors, but am having trouble finding one with these particular features.

Yes, XML Notepad 2007 is the XML Notepad that I referred to in my original post. It has no table view.

It seems the right-click is on the code view page in the XMLMarker rather on the tree view. And the tree view shrinks rightaway when you select some functionality from context menu. It is indeed not very convenient. But it does offer something in that direction amid less than perfectly convenient.

I cannot offer useful suggestion. Maybe somebody can.
