internet explorer back button doesn’t recover submitted form data

Better do not count on the browser's behavior.
Do it like on Tek-Tips : when the user wants to modify its post after previewing it, there is an "Edit Post" [tt]form[/tt] button which takes the user to a newer page with the [tt]form[/tt] re-populated as it was earlier.
This is a predictable way. Relying on the browser's back functionality is not.

I found out it's the well known AJAX back button issue :-(
