Hi!

I have a LEÀVE MAIL function in my call flow. But i cant figure out how to use it properly. If I make an announcement in the voicemail pro, like "hi please leave a message and we will get back to you" and route this to the mailbox of huntgroup 300, then before the beep i get the announcement from the huntgroup 300! :/

So the call will be like this: (my voice) "Hi, please leave a message and we will get back to you." followed by (annoying womans voice)"Welcome to IP office. Extension 300 is not available. Please leave a message after the tone..." Is there any way to disable the system message, or do I really have to speak the system message diretly on the huntgroup instead?

Go to the wav's and look for mc01
This is one second of silence
Then go to the folder names
Put in the mc01 and rename it to the name of extension 300
But i think it should not do this
You probably did not set it up right or am i mistaken ?

Call flow:

Incoming call: start Point (Welcome to company)>---------Assisted transfer to huntgroup 300>-----
If no answer, goes to>------
Leave mail with a waw file saying"leave message etc (specific mailbox, 300.)

Problem is, that i still get the lady after the LEave mail speak that i did.

record the mailbox greeting with the actual greeting and take the menu greeting away, much easier to administer and to change as you jus tnneed to log into the mailbox and press 3...

nahh i dont agree, would like to control aeverything in the VMPRO! Is that really not possible?

I always use voice question and send the recording to any mailbox you want. Much easier.

TLPeter; The trick with the 1 secnd file worked, and thats enough for me. Thanks! ;)

That's the way I do this kind of thing... AS 1 second silence is a bit of a bodge TBH

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

And how would I do this? how would my call flow look?

Easy...

Add a voice question block to you your call flow instead for your Leave mail action

On the Specific tab add your prompt that you wish to use a greeting. Add a recording place holder (click on teh recording button) ad set a maximum time. On the bottom of the specific tab there is a destination mailbox. Set that to where you want the message to go to,

Save and make live

That's how it has always worked, you are telling it to go to that mailbox so it plays that mailboxes greeting. To get around this do as matt has suggested, that how I do it too and it works great :)

why would you play a menu greeting or voice question if you don't need it because the mailbox greeting will do the same thing, I might be a bit thick but I just don't see any situation I would need that, and writing this I see one, haha, if you want to have different greetings and all messages ending up in the same mailbox.
Got it now.

Cheers
