Hi,

does anyone know how to put a diagonal (rather than horizontal) strikethrough a character in Indesign CS2. I need a letter e/

I know I could use kerning but it is a bit painful as it doesn't replace, if searched and replaced.

Also I can't find a glyph set with one

any advice appreciated

The glyphs palette shows all the characters available for each font, so if the typeface was designed without that character, you'll have to do it manually.

Just a suggestion, if you make the slash (or the e and slash) into a Character Style that just has the kerning defined, it would be findable using find and replace. Not sure how often you have to use it throughout the document, but using CS2's Quick Apply makes it easy to switch styles pretty quickly.

great I'll have a go, thanks!
