Dear All:

I have some knowledge of AccPac 6.5 DOS Version.
My OE file is damaged and do not let me continue.
The message i get is

"Day end processing was not completed. Data may be damaged. Recover from Backup"

The backup is 2 months old. Is there any software available to fix the damaged file(s).

My Best

Nas Kalsi

You should, no you MUST backup your Accpac Plus data before doing day end, this is one of the most critical processes.
There is a flag set in OEGLOB when day end is started and reset when day end is completed, this flag is at offset 689. You need to open OEGLOB.xxx (where xxx is your file extension) in a HEX editor (no, not Notepad) and change the value to zero - it should currently be a 1. Make a copy of OEGLOB.xxx before you mess with it in case it blows up.
Once you have edited OEGLOB you should be able to open OE, then run the day end again - after making a backup.

Thanks a million. It worked as explained. And a Star.
