ASM 8+ DID/DTMF Capability

I was told that the ASM 8+ module supports passing of DID info onto analog lines. Is this true? I am trying to pass the DID to a faxserver similar to the other instances that have been documented here. We purchased a ASM 8+ module to attempt to do this and I am not able to get the DID info onto the faxserver. Has anyone accomplished this with the 8+ module?

The module can pass CLID, but not DID/DNIS info.

Here's the info on the ASM 8+

Media Bay Module
(GASM)
Provides CLID passthrough,
Message Waiting Indication*
and Disconnect Supervision*
(* available features depends
on market profile)

I'm interested in what you're saying here.

Are you saying that on an ASM8+ external caller id whether from a digital or analog trunk will be passed through the station port on the ASM8+? This is the usual modem burst between 1st and 2nd ring that you'd receive on a telco line? Is this only on the ASM8+ or on ATA's or regular ASM8s?

Only the ASM 8+ will do this. ATA's and older ASM-8 units won't.

Or so I've read in the docs. Every ASM 8+ I've put in has cheap analog sets on it that don't display caller ID (usually factory phones), so I've never gotten to see it first hand. The disconnect supervison feature works well though.

Are we talking about the BCM ASM? Because that's the only one I know of that htey refer to as a GASM.
