Zoom/hand tool toggle issues

When I select the zoom tool on my toolbar, i'll move the cursor in the center of the screen, I'll hold the space bar down. By doing so, It will move to the hand tool, so then while doing that, I'll try and move the display on my canvas... what happens, once I start dragging, it switches back to the zoom tool, creating a zoom selection which I did not want. I know this is somekind of glitch or setting issue because I had the person in the office simulate the same, and they had no problems using the hand tool even if the zoom was selected. Can anyone help?

Hi, domerdel,

Zoom in = Ctrl+Spacebar + click and drag.
Zoom out = Ctrl+Alt+SpaceBar +click and darg

Move with hand tool = spacebar (with no text insertion point), Alt-drag (with text insertion point), or Ctrl + spacebar, and then release Ctrl
