I'm having a tough time getting zonealarm to allow incoming requests for my web server (apache). In program control "Apache" is listed as Access is trusted & Internet and Server is also trusted & internet.

I can verify apache is operating properly from the server but the request never hits zonealarm so it succeeds. From the net it fails. So how can I force apache to go out to the net and back to verify it works or not? Without a second machine available? A+ N+ Sec+ SME/Sec+

Browse through a proxy server. OR, ask a mate to try and connect to your webserver. Or, go to and use shieldsup to see what ports are open on your machine.

I just didn't have the server internet zone set to allow.

Thanks A+ N+ Sec+ SME/Sec+
