zip drive not opening.......

i read and write protected a disk, but when trying to open it, i get a message, shortcut unavailable or resources not available.i can put other disks in and they run. also,i deleted info from another disk, and started to reformat it, but that disk too wont open.how can i get these to open?i cant get it to open to put the password in.

Did you read and write protect the Zip disk on another computer, or using another OS? Are you trying to read it in XP? If that is the case, you'll need to get currect Iomegaware 'cause WinXP doesn't support protected Zip disks without help.

If there's a different problem, please provide details.
