Zip Drive/HP Scanjet 5100c

Is there any way to connect a zip drive to a parallel port, then connect an hp scanjet 5100c to the other connector coming out of the zip, and have them both work?

Yes, but it is a pain to t/s when not working. Me, I would rather spend $20 and add a second parallel card to sys.

Wow! That's exactly what I had and exactly what I did. It never worked past 2 boots 'til I got another parallel port.
