Zero strikethrough font in Acrobat 7.0

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a font that will work in Acrobat that makes the zero a strikethrough. I have created my own font and tried that. Word, Excel etc, will pick up the strikethrough in the new font, but not Acrobat. Any ideas anyone??

If you're referring to the circle or 0 with the strikethrough running down at 45 degrees from upper right to lower left and extending past the 0, it's apretty common glyph. Arial and its related families have it. The helveticas, verdana and Times families have it as well as hundreds of others.

If you're looking for a straight across strikethrough, use Symbol font and type q. Shift q should give you a rounder appearance than lower case.

Thanks, jbgalvin, for your help. For some reason, all the Arial fonts that are installed on my machine do not include the slash zero character. And, for some other reason, my Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0 stubbornly refuses to let me enter a special character. My goal here is to type in a sample number and have the Os (letters) clearly distinguishable from a 0 (zero). This is something field personnel are going to have to do on the fly, hence the need for simplicity. Any further ideas are welcome, otherwise they're going to just have to get out the old black pen.

I use OSX. In Word or Excel (or any app) with Arial the key combo for the 45 degree slash is Option o. Shift Option o gives you a capital O - similar to a zero. The same hold for Times New Roman and most fonts that have that glyph.

Don't know the PC equivalent but try the keys to the side of the spacebar.

I don't know if the text edit in Acorbat honors glyphs - if your trying to edit in that.

I think I've figured out a work around by pasting from the character map. Not as easy as I would have wanted, but doable. Thanks!
