Dear friends
i have upgraded hipath 4000 system v 4.0 to Openscape 4000 V 7.0.
I am getting problem of zero prefix added in KNPRE is not working.
KNPRE is working up to hipath 4000 v 4.0
Hipath 4000 v 5.0 a patch has to deactivate for the KNPRE prefix
Openscape V 7.0 KNPRE is not working or the same patch is not available.

Senario:-
If I am calling from my mobile the first digit 0 is not appearing in DID extension display
so we use to add 0 in knpre command so that it will be easy for redialling purpose from call log.

please help me to resolve this issue in Openscape 4000 V 7.0.

thanks

Same problem in Hipath 4000 V 5
and if we deactivate the following patch this problem was resolved.
PS50L33.

In Openscape 4000 V 7.0 this patch is no more available in the system;

Dear Iamnothere
please i have pasted all the data
kindly help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks

I would love to help you resolve the problem. Unfortunately I do not fully understand your scenario. When you say "If I am calling from my mobile the first digit 0 is not appearing in DID extension display" - what mobile device are you using? A smart phone with the OpenScape Client installed?

AMO KNPRE is used by the system to insert digits when an Access/Exit code is not available. Typically this means that the 4K has received an incoming call with the NPI=ISDN, and TON=NATIONAL. If this call is a "Transit Call", AMO KNPRE may be used to provide an Exit Code, so that the call can be re=processed via LCR - to be extended to a different system. KNPRE is also used with OpenScape 4000 when a Unified Communications user places an outgoing call via the OpenScape Client.

Is your "mobile" placing a UC call?

The reason I asked you to show your AMO KNPRE configuration: AMO KNPRE is enhanced via RMX Hotfix in V7R0, due to a fix for the UC "outcalling" feature. After this RMX Hotfix is installed, AMO KNPRE has a new "Numbering Plan Identifier" Branch: ISDN, Private, and CSTA. This AMO change allows KNPRE to be used with different values for Telephony and CSTA connections. I thought that perhaps your AMO KNPRE was misconfigured. But your V7R0 system does not yet have the new AMO KNPRE. Have you installed the ADP/Assistant, and RMX, and CSTA Hotfixes????

Please provide more details on the actual problem.

Good Luck!

dear iamnothere
first of all I would like to thank you for your effort to help in this forum
what you have said and understand is correct.
here we don't have isdn ,we have here R2 E1 did/DoD and up to Hipath 4000 v 4 the KNPRE was working fine and after upgraded to v 5.0 the KNPRE was not effective.
we escalate this issue with Siemens they ask us to deactivate the following patch
PS50L330

Now we have upgraded one system from Hipath 4000 to Openscape 4000 v 7.0 we are facing the same issue and we try to deactivate the patch as we are doing in v 5,no patch is available in the system with the above mentioned number.

why we need to add prefix in the incoming calls is the service provider is not sending the zero the first digit
example my mobile number is 0501234567
but when I am calling from my mobile to landline number connected to the system, the subscribers phone displays 501234567 without zero.because of this call back from call log is not possible.
So we used to add zero by knpre command and the display shows exit code and full mobile number.
00501234567
where first zero is exit code and the second zero followed by numbers are the actual mobile subscriber number.

in openscape 4000 v7 the additional patches are converted in to flags in sands
so I am unable to deactivate the patch as we are doing in v 5

thanks

You can add a "0" to the incoming digit string by configuring your AMO TDCSU parameter "DGTPR=0". Perform CHA-TDCSU and set parameter DGTPR to a value of "0".
Be careful: This config will add a "0" to the front of EVERY incoming digit string on that specific circuit. Do not attempt during normal customer hours, as this entry may impact normal incoming calls!

If this config does not solve the problem, remove the "0" from the TDCSU --> DGTPR parameter by using CHA-TDCSU --> DGTPR=*.

The "*" deletes any digits that may be assigned to the parameter "DGTPR".

I am not familiar with your trunks; therefore I will not be able to provide further assistance if this "tweak" does not work.

Good Luck!
