Merlin Mail R4, Is there a way of disabling the zero out option? System wide or per box

I believe it is tied to the timeout option, if callers dial nothing, it is the same as dialing zero. So if you don't use the time out option to transfer to the system operator, maybe you could change your system operator's extension to something not valid. It would not be pretty and I would not recommend it. For the mailboxes you can set their personal operator to also be a non valid extension. Don't recommend this either.

Well, this is a great question.

However, it screams for more.

That is, MERLIN MAIL stopped being produced at RELEASE 3.

SO, exactly what are you working on.

With Merlin Messaging, you can have PERSONAL OPERATORS for each extension, default being the Call Answer Service operator.

You can steer Auto Attendant to any number of things, including DISCONNECT.

What are you trying to do? - What results do you want?

Then when programming the "zero/time-out option" for the autoattendant main menu - choose "disconnect" as your "0/time-out" choice. You have a number of choices to pick from. The default day menu option is to transfer to the call service operator. The default night menu option is leave a message in the general mailbox.
