I have an image at 1.3gb. It was built on a workstation with a 20gb hard drive.I tkae an image of the pc using zenworks imaging. When i put this image onto another pc say with 80gb hard drive it leaves 60gb un-partitioned. Why?
I want to put the image on the full 80gb hard drive.
Can anyone help please or explain?

Using the included Image Explorer utility (ImgExp.exe, should be located in the public directory under the zenworks subdirectory with your PXE files), open the image and click on File, Properties. This will bring up the partition properties for your image file. The size is in KB, so if you wanted you could make the image 80000000KB, that will partition the 80gigs. Or you can go for broke and just make it 1000000000KB, then your image will work on drives up to 1TB and will use the entire drive for the partition.

There is no issue with making the partition size in the image file larger than the physical drive, can't make a partition bigger than the actual size pf the drive so it just uses as much as it can. However, you will have issues if you try to place an image file ontop a hard drive smaller than the partition size set int he image file.
