Hello All,

I have 2 questions with Zenworks. Let me know what y'all think. . .

1. Is there a fix with XP Sp2 and Client on Win98 or XP? Connecting to a NW6 Server my zenworks with the Web Application Launcher just comes up with code and errors. This happened ever since I put on SP2.

2. We Upgraded a server to 6.5 from 6 and now Zenworks will not work properly. Is there a patch I need to install since we updated to NW6.5? And yes we installed SP2 on 6.5 also. Small little issues that aren't important to teachers working, but just a fyi for my brain and the future of my upgrade process.

Yes there are some patches to Zenworks 4 that need to be applied post upgrade to NW 6.5, also you will either need to turn off the SP2 firewall, or exclude all of the zenworks processes from it (Upgrading to Zenworks 6.5 takes care of that for you as it was designed to work with SP2)

So there is a firewall in 6.5 now? Hmm. never would of thought of that one. I will lok into it and see what I need. Sometimes things on their site seem a little conviluted, plus also heavy medication for a cold is not helping either.

Thanks for the info jfp23

I think he means the SP2 firewall on XP.. NW 6.5 does not have a firewall (or really need one for that matter..)

Which part of zen is broken since the NW upgrade?

I will have to mess around with it to let you know which part. When I was looking at it I was doped up on some cold medicine. Like I say not mission critical, but if there is one thing wrong you know sometimes it can lead to more later.
