Hi,
I am new to Zenworks and have so far managed to used it to image machines. However after the application is imaged we need to configure the computer for the user in the sense that set up the profile, etc, etc, add the computer to the NT4 domain, etc etc.
All these steps have been automated by batch files and I have written scripts that automate the creation of mail profiles etc using MS tools. However, I still need to manually do each one as reboots are required once a machine is added to the domain for example.
Is there is a way with Zenworks in which once the image is loaded, we can force the machines to run the batch files automatically using a value I put in somewhere, maybe a text file or a reg entry, eg say Username = ManishH to use it then to rename the computer, as the mailbox name, etc ,etc?
I'm sure Zenworks is infinitely powerful, but there are tons of documentation out there and a pointer to which documents to read would be most helpful, if it is indeed possible.
Many thanks
Manish
