We have ZENworks 7 installed on a Network 6.5, SP6 box. With the inventory database running. I can import the PC but I am unable to get the PC information into the database inventory (Nothing displays in the Zenworks Inventory tab). Can someone please help me. Does anyone have any ideas why this is not working?

The first thing you need is to understand that just importing the workstation - that won't make the inventory go.

You also need to have an inventory service setup, a policy defined, and associated with your workstations.

However, I would spend 0 time on this. ZEN inventory sucks. A better method is to use the Asset Inventory tool that comes with ZEN 7. It is much better tool for reporting, and is pretty easy to understand.

The downside is that as far as I know, it requires a Windows box. It doesn't run on NetWare.

don't forget the actual scan that has to take place, then the data collection, then the import to the database (granted it's automated, but you still have to set it all up).

I second Marv option that ZfD7 inventory 7 sucks. The caned reports are a pain to work with in most cases, and getting specific data out of it is a pain.

Asset inventory does require windows, as well as M$ SQL. It is a good product. It was carried over into ZCM and uses a Sybase database now, but don't go ZCM. As nice of a product as the marketing may tell you it is (and it's features are pretty nice), it is easier to pluck the nose hair on a flea with a pair of salad tongs than it is to get ZCM to work properly. Riddled with bugs, memory leaks, cpu hog. Most, if not all of teh service requests I have opened have been credited back to me ... and that only gets done when the problem is an undocumented problem (aka, I found another bug).

Idunno why, but the middle portion of my response above is missing. Maybe Tektips is having issues.

I recommended looking at Asset Inventory which is included with your ZEN 7 license. It requires windows.
